Job Description for a Child Friendly Housekeeper Based in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey

Pets: 1 very small Pomeranian dog

Salary: £35,360 - £39,520 gross per annum

Holiday: Statutory Paid Holiday

Start Date: ASAP

Hours Required: Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm

Driver: Yes, and car provided for use on duty

Summary:

This really relaxed and informal family are looking for an experienced and reliable housekeeper to support their household by undertaking general housekeeping and laundry duties. The ideal candidate will be someone with a gentle, warm and friendly way about them and someone who really cares about looking after people.

Duties to include:

Complete care and cleaning of the home
Laundry and ironing and sending clothes to the dry cleaners when necessary
Sewing/mend clothing
Make bed daily and changing of beds
Supervise repair and maintenance. Update the family when services are completed
Keep stock of household supplies including bathroom supplies, cleaning agents, stationery, toiletries, etc. and replenish when supplies are low. Record expenditures.
Maintain and tidy all outdoor spaces including but not limited to BBQ pit, driveways, garden, patios, pool, pool house and tennis court.
Answer telephone calls and doorbell.
Receive deliveries.
Prepare rooms for visitors, family occasions and other social events.
Run other errands.
Avoid using strong cleaning agents and materials.
Keep dangerous, toxic and unsafe agents, chemicals, materials and supplies safely and away from children and pets. Label all dangerous, toxic and unsafe agents, chemicals, materials and supplies correctly and clearly.
Occasion school run and looking after the children if mum needs to go out
