An established building company located in Surrey now requires an experienced Project Manager to join their Team.


Duties

Reporting to one of Company Directors, you will be responsible for running 2-3 projects depending on their size and complexity. Key responsibilities include:

  • Project Management: From pre-construction to handover, you'll handle it all - site programmes, progress reports, site inspections, cost reporting, tender analysis, monthly valuations, and more.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with architects, clients, QS, and other stakeholders to align on specification, programme, and costs.
  • Team Leadership: Provide daily management and support to site foremen, employees, and sub-contractors, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality outcomes.
  • Quality and Cost Management: Oversee quality control and cost management to ensure projects meet our high standards and stay within budget.
  • Vendor Management: Take the lead in selecting subcontractors and vendors for work packages.
  • Health and Safety: Manage on-site health and safety, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.

It is essential or preferrable that you have the following experience, qualifications or skills;

  •  Experience: A minimum of 3 years in Contracts/Project management in high-end residential construction is essential.
  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage clients effectively, contributing to the achievement of repeat business targets.
  • Technical Expertise: Understand various aspects of residential building, from foundations to plumbing to decorating.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to quickly grasp business and technical concepts.
  • Qualifications: A Construction Degree is preferred, and a Project Management qualification would be a bonus.
  • Certifications: SMSTS, CSCS certifications are preferred.
  • Tech Savvy: Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office.
  • Driver's License: A Full UK Driving license is essential.
