Job Title: Project Manager
Location: Surrey
Salary: £70,000- £110,000
Hours of Work: 40 Hours Monday – Friday
Type: Permanent
Start Date: Immediately (flexible for notice periods)
An established building company located in Surrey now requires an experienced Project Manager to join their Team.
Duties
Reporting to one of Company Directors, you will be responsible for running 2-3 projects depending on their size and complexity. Key responsibilities include:
- Project Management: From pre-construction to handover, you'll handle it all - site programmes, progress reports, site inspections, cost reporting, tender analysis, monthly valuations, and more.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with architects, clients, QS, and other stakeholders to align on specification, programme, and costs.
- Team Leadership: Provide daily management and support to site foremen, employees, and sub-contractors, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality outcomes.
- Quality and Cost Management: Oversee quality control and cost management to ensure projects meet our high standards and stay within budget.
- Vendor Management: Take the lead in selecting subcontractors and vendors for work packages.
- Health and Safety: Manage on-site health and safety, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.
It is essential or preferrable that you have the following experience, qualifications or skills;
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in Contracts/Project management in high-end residential construction is essential.
- Commercial Acumen: Demonstrate a strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage clients effectively, contributing to the achievement of repeat business targets.
- Technical Expertise: Understand various aspects of residential building, from foundations to plumbing to decorating.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional communication skills, coupled with the ability to quickly grasp business and technical concepts.
- Qualifications: A Construction Degree is preferred, and a Project Management qualification would be a bonus.
- Certifications: SMSTS, CSCS certifications are preferred.
- Tech Savvy: Advanced knowledge and use of MS Office.
- Driver's License: A Full UK Driving license is essential.
