A wonderful primary school in Wantage are searching for a bright teaching assistant to join them in September. This is a one-year contract working full-time. The teaching assistant will be supporting a Year 2 class helping with SATS preparation focusing on numeracy and literacy. Ideally, the teaching assistant will have previous experience working with children and a strong academic background. There is an opportunity to complete your primary teacher training.

Graduates who are personable, academic, creative and/or sporty are ideal for this role. Extra-curricular interests such as music, arts, languages and sports are desirable. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to build upon their knowledge and confidence before completing their teacher training.

A graduate with a degree graded 2:1 or above is ideal for this role and a graduate with some previous experience working with children is desirable but not a necessity. This relevant previous experience could include childcare, tutoring, helping within a nursery, in a sport setting, charity or in a similar classroom setting. Graduates with no experience working with children will also be considered.

A degree in a Maths/Number related subject is highly desirable!
