We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Teaching Assistant to join a Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) team, predominantly based in the Nursery class. The successful educator will work alongside the Nursery teacher and practitioners to plan and deliver engaging learning opportunities, effectively manage behaviour, and support the overall development of the children. There may also be opportunities to work in other areas of the school as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Nursery teacher and practitioners to plan and implement engaging and educational activities.
  • Support children's learning and development in accordance with the EYFS framework.
  • Effectively manage and promote positive behavior.
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for all children.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and resources.
  • Monitor and document children's progress and communicate with parents and carers.
  • Support the wider school community as needed, including working in other classes or supporting school events.
Requirements:
  • A passion for working with young children and a strong understanding of the EYFS framework.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage and motivate children through creative and interactive teaching methods.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or child development are desirable.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.

Monday-Friday 8:30-3:30
