Teaching Assistant - Wantage

The role is primarily focused in Year 3, the school has found there is a big transition from Year 2 and certain children are struggling.

Key Responsibilities - Teaching Assistant - Wantage

  • Assisting the class teacher in preparing lesson materials.
  • Supporting students with reading, phonics, maths, and literacy.
  • Managing classroom behavior and ensuring a positive learning environment.
  • Supervising and assisting with outdoor activities, including PE lessons.
  • Shadowing experienced teachers and gaining firsthand knowledge of effective teaching practices.

Qualifications for the Teaching Assistant - Wantage:

  • Higher level/related Teaching Assistant qualifications (prefered)
  • 3 years experience working in a child-related setting (doesnt have to be schools)
  • GCSE Maths, English and Science grade 4/grade C minimum.
