The successful applicant for the Desktop Engineer vacancy will be responsible for ongoing BAU support for IT Desktop systems and installing IT Security solutions. This will include installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software systems, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring the overall efficiency and performance of desktop systems.

General responsibilities: -

  • Endpoint Configuration - Install / configure desktop operating systems and s/ware applications. Troubleshoot & fix technical issues related to endpoints and provide end-user support.
  • Create and Maintain Active Directory Groups, including for shared accounts
  • Collaborate with group IT and local IT teams to ensure compliance with standards, policy & process to maintain high levels of security, service and availability.
  • Create and update accurate documentation for all new configurations and processes.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures.
  • Build and configure PCs and laptops.
  • Install and manage current versions of Windows OS
  • Install hardware and software on client devices.
  • Manage Active Directory accounts
  • Configure network settings on PCs and Servers, including static and dynamic network configurations.

Skills & experience required: -

  • Managing and configuring Windows OS and software applications
  • Familiarity with network protocols, security concepts, and system administration.
  • Experience working with Active Directory
  • M365
