Position: Interim Technical Buyer / Procurement Specialist

Duration: Initial 3 months, with potential for extension

Location: Primarily on-site, with option for one day per week remote

Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Buyer / Procurement Specialist to join our team on an interim basis. This role focuses on technical procurement, particularly within the mechanical and electronic categories.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and organise work schedules for mechanical and electronic categories.
  • Ensure procurement of goods and services meets optimised cost, timely delivery, and required quality standards.
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers to secure the best terms for the business.
  • Liaise extensively with budget holders to understand stakeholder requirements and facilitate effective procurement activities.
  • Advise on negotiation outcomes and alternative strategies to meet budgetary targets or desired outcomes.
