We are an established care agency specialising in providing experienced Support Workers to services that support children and young people. We have over 35yrs of experience in the field of Health & Social Care sourcing work for people who have experience of working with children and young people.

We are currently working with a new client who requires an experience Support worker/Residential Child Care Officer for a 4-6 month period. Various shifts are available including earlies (0700-1500), lates (1400-2200), long days (0700-2200), sleep in duties and/or Waking Nights.

We are happy to consider full-time or part-time hours of your choice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a positive role model for children and young people.
  • Offer a caring, nuturing and supportive environment.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of each child or young person at all times.
  • Encourage and promote independence in daily activities.
  • Support children and young people in a wide range of activities, including escorting them to and from activities..
  • Manage shift work, including overnight sleep-ins.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications in social work, childcare, or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People).
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage personal and professional boundaries.
  • Preparedness to work under pressure and cope with stress
