SALARY- 35,000 to 45,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Premier Engineering is seeking a Design Engineer with AutoCAD experience to join a growing company based in Ware, Hertfordshire. This role involves creating detailed technical drawings and designs, collaborating with engineering and manufacturing teams to develop high-quality products.
The Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
- A degree or HND/HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D)
- Experience in mechanical or structural design within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Knowledge of materials, fabrication, and manufacturing processes
- Ability to produce detailed technical drawings and BOMs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Creating detailed AutoCAD drawings for manufacturing and production
- Developing and modifying designs based on customer and project requirements
- Collaborating with engineers, project managers, and production teams
- Ensuring designs meet industry standards and regulations
- Managing multiple projects and ensuring deadlines are met
- Reviewing and improving existing designs for cost-effectiveness and efficiency
