We are currently recruiting for several Legal Call Handlers to work for an excellent law firm based in Hertfordshire to work within their financial recovery team.

The team is made up of 8 people who deal with incoming and outgoing calls for the recovery of unpaid service charges, ground rents and other arrears.

You will be the first point of contact for third parties wishing to contact the team with regards to ongoing cases.

Typical duties would include:

  • Caseload management
  • Understanding client instructions and statement of accounts.
  • Updating clients on ongoing cases.
  • Entering new instructions on to the system.
  • Identifying valid disputes to provide responses to debtors and clients via phone and email.
  • Following processes and guidelines ensuring all required actions are carried out.

The successful candidate:

  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Previous office experience
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • IT literate with knowledge of MS Office products

It would be beneficial but isn’t essential if the successful candidate had previous legal experience or a law degree.
