Overview:As a Transport Coordinator at with our client, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimising the logistics and scheduling of deliveries and collections. This position requires excellent collaboration, organisation, and communication skills to ensure high-quality and timely logistics support worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate transport routes and daily schedules across Europe, ensuring cost-efficiency and profitability.
  • Schedule and allocate resources for collections and deliveries, optimizing fleet and driver utilization.
  • Organize customer collections, packing services, and deliveries effectively.
  • Work with various departments to plan routes and schedule delivery times, coordinating drivers and vehicles.
  • Collaborate with customs for clearance and manage customs entry exceptions.
  • Manage and build client relationships, addressing any issues or complaints.
  • Assess client needs daily, liaising with overseas agents, collectors, galleries, auction houses, and transport companies.
  • Guide clients through the shipping process for their art and artifacts.
  • Quote and coordinate domestic and international road freight.
  • Prepare and process transportation documentation.
  • Manage export/import processes for road freight shipments.
  • Ensure drivers comply with regulations and maintain proper records.
  • Maintain high levels of customer service and manage client expectations.
  • Collaborate with operational departments including Projects, Shipping, Customs, and Warehouse teams.

Requirements:

  • Experience in transport planning, logistics, distribution, or traffic control.
  • Knowledge of domestic and European transport operations and planning is advantageous.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK and Europe.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to plan and prioritize workloads methodically.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to improve processes.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
