SRG/ Synergy are looking for a lab support supervisor to work within a global pharmaceutical company based in Ware. The lab support team are dedicated to the provision of core functions essential for the operational performance of the GMP QC laboratory on site. The lab support supervisor will lead this part of the team.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and assign lab support activities conducted by the Synergy Lab Support team, reporting progress and performance to client stakeholders and Synergy management.
  • Act as a primary point of contact between client lab leaders and the Synergy Lab Support team.
  • Work with client scientists and Synergy managers to identify and develop new support areas and activities.
  • Deliver training to other members of the Synergy team, following established training procedures.
  • Lead CI activities to improve lab processes, coaching other Synergy team members to implement CI and best practices.
  • Act as process owner/ SME for lab support work in external and internal audits.
  • Support the onboarding of team members, providing guidance on training requirements, IT system access, and GMP ways of working.
  • Ensure the entire Synergy Lab Support team is always compliant with client policies and GMP requirements.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Degree level qualification in an appropriate scientific discipline (e.g. Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Chemistry) or equivalent experience
  • Track record of supervising or coordinating lab-based scientific activities
  • Experience of working to work instructions and SOPs/Risk Assessments
  • Customer service focus, with ability to balance competing priorities.
  • Good planning and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Developed IT skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, LIMS, SAP, etc.
  • Excellent communication skills
