Premier Engineering is recruiting for a Production Manager to join our clients manufacturing team based in Ware. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead production operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality products.
The Production Manager will ideally have the following attributes:
- Proven experience in a Production Manager role within a manufacturing environment
- A degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management (BEng, HND, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of production processes, resource planning, and quality standards
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication skills for liaising with teams and stakeholders
- Proficiency in production management software and tools
- Overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
- Managing and mentoring a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
- Planning and scheduling production workflows to meet customer demands
- Monitoring KPIs and implementing strategies to optimize production output
- Collaborating with other departments such as quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
- Preparing production reports and presenting performance updates to senior management
