Premier Engineering is recruiting for a Production Manager to join our clients manufacturing team based in Ware. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead production operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the efficient delivery of high-quality products.

The Production Manager will ideally have the following attributes:

  • Proven experience in a Production Manager role within a manufacturing environment
  • A degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or Operations Management (BEng, HND, etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of production processes, resource planning, and quality standards
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Good communication skills for liaising with teams and stakeholders
  • Proficiency in production management software and tools
The Production Manager role will involve:
  • Overseeing daily production operations to ensure efficiency and quality standards are met
  • Managing and mentoring a team of production staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement
  • Planning and scheduling production workflows to meet customer demands
  • Monitoring KPIs and implementing strategies to optimize production output
  • Collaborating with other departments such as quality assurance, maintenance, and supply chain
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and maintaining a safe working environment
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction
  • Preparing production reports and presenting performance updates to senior management
