Job Responsibilities:
We are currently working with a leading contractor who are looking for experienced roofers to join their team. You will be responsible for performing a variety of roofing tasks on social housing properties. Your primary focus will be on repairs, maintenance, and installation of roofs in compliance with safety and quality standards. This role requires versatility in handling various roofing materials and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
- Install, repair, and maintain roofs for social housing units.
- Conduct inspections to identify and address roofing issues promptly.
- Collaborate with project managers and other construction professionals.
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and safety regulations.
- Recommend and select appropriate roofing materials.
- Perform routine maintenance to extend the lifespan of roofs.
- Communicate effectively with team members and housing authorities.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a roofer, preferably in social housing projects.
- Knowledge of various roofing materials and installation techniques.
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Relevant roofing certifications or licenses.
- Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
