This role is perfect for those pursuing careers in the education and training sector, Counselling, Mental Health, Social Care, Youth Justice, or related fields. As a SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant in Ware, you'll play a crucial role in supporting students with complex social, emotional, and mental health needs, such as ADHD, Autism, and communication challenges.

What We're Looking For:

  • Relevant Experience: Background working with SEN or mental health needs is highly desirable.
  • Passion for Mental Health: Strong interest in supporting students with SEMH needs.
  • Understanding of SEN: Knowledge or experience in SEN settings, focusing on unique learning and behavioral needs.
  • Local Candidate: Ideally, you're within commuting distance of Ware.

SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Support students with a variety of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and communication challenges.
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to implement targeted interventions.
  • Assist in developing individualized learning strategies and support plans.
  • Provide pastoral care and emotional support to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
