We are currently seeking a newly qualified Teacher looking to do their ECT as anSEN Teacher and join a Specialist School and sports college supporting students aged 2-10 with severe learning difficulties and other complex mental and physical needs.


Therole:

The role offers the successful candidate to be supported through their ECT by members of the Leadership team. The candidate will be given extensive support through internal observations and focused meetings with specialist teachers including Multi-sensory impairment and Autism leads.

Successful candidates will:

  • Be part of an outstanding teaching team that drive curriculum development
  • Have weekly Leadership mentoring
  • Be given generous PPA ECT (Hours)
  • Have access to specialist in house expertise

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a group of pupils within the school and to carry out the professional duties of a teacher
  • Responsible for the long, medium and short term planning of the curriculum and delivery of lessons
  • Management of pupil behaviour in accordance with the schemes of work
  • Mazimise Teaching and Learning through effective management of human resources
  • Monitoring of pupils progress through target setting and writing of individual education plans
  • Assess and report on development for EHCP's
  • Liaise with other professionals: Educational Psychologists, Speech andLanguage Therapists, Advisory Teachers, Medical Professionals etc.


Experience /Qualifications:

  • PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Experience of supporting students with complex or SEN needs
