Accountant Business Area: FinanceHours: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PMContract: PermanentLocation: Mainly remote with flexibility to travel to the group’s offices as requiredRole PurposeAn exciting opportunity to be an integral part of our dynamic and progressive organisation. As a Development Accountant, you will provide innovative development accounting and financial reporting services to internal and external stakeholders.Key Accountabilities• Monitor and report on the Group’s development portfolio performance.• Reconcile development costs for accurate cash flow forecasting.• Assist in cash flow preparation and intra-group loan management for development activities.• Develop financial reports and analysis for commercial and development activities.• Review project appraisals.• Produce monthly management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting.• Provide comprehensive financial services ensuring accurate accounting records.• Lead, develop, and motivate the management accountant and assistant management accountant.• Liaise and report to budget holders and external stakeholders.• Build relationships with external development partners to ensure timely and accurate information.

Experience and Qualifications• Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ICAEW, ACCA).• Experience in management accounting, budgeting, and financial reporting.• Knowledge of accounting standards, preferably in development and construction.• Experience in the housing sector is preferable.• Proficient in financial information systems and advanced Excel.• Experience in statutory accounting and team leadership.• Knowledge of taxation, including VAT, is desirable.• Ability to manage workload flexibly, with occasional travel to other group offices required.
