NET Recruit are delighted to be supporting a fantastic housing business operating in the Dorset area, to aid them in their search for an Interim Development Accountant on a 12-month fixed term contract.The position holder will be expected to travel to Wareham around once per week, and potentially to Andover a few times a month.Your RoleWhile in this position your duties may include but are not limited to:
  • Reporting on the on-going performance of the group's development portfolio
  • Reconciling development costs to ensure an accurate cash flow forecast to the treasury team
  • Supporting the cashflow preparation and analysis, in order to manage the intra-group loan facilities set aside for development and commercial activities
  • Developing the financial reports and analysis of financial performance regarding both development and commercial activities
  • Reviewing project appraisals
  • Producing monthly management accounts
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting and analysis activities
  • Ensuring financial and accounting records are accurately inputted into the accounting systems
  • Leading key finance professionals in the team, supporting their development and motivations
  • Liaising with key stakeholders that are external to the finance function
You MUST Have:Please apply ONLY if you meet the following criteria:
  • A qualified accountant (either CIMA, ACCA or ICAEW)
  • Possesses extensive experience in management accounting and budgeting, analysis and reporting
  • Knowledge of accounting standards
  • Specific experience in the housing sector is desirable
  • Statutory accounting experience
  • Knowledge of taxation including VAT is preferred
  • Experience with Financial Information Systems
