Role Overview Accounts Assistant

You will play a key role in ensuring that all income is processed, reconciled, and allocated accurately across our financial and housing management systems. You’ll also support credit control, assist with resolving allocation queries, and contribute to system improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process and allocate all incoming payments to the correct accounts
  • Raise and dispatch invoices, ensuring accurate records in the system
  • Reconcile cash and transfers, resolving any discrepancies
  • Process refunds and manage direct debits, including corrections and rejections
  • Assist with debt recovery, issuing reminders, and liaising with customers to ensure timely payments
  • Maintain and update customer accounts, including rent and service charge postings
  • Support financial audits and reporting processes
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency enhancements
