A global leading energy company have a new requirement to join their dynamic team in Dorset. They are currently seeking a skilled Instrument Technician to ensure the smooth operation of their production facility through maintenance, repair, and testing of instrument-related equipment and systems. This role requires a dedicated individual with a passion for safety and efficiency, who thrives in a collaborative team environment.

Key Responsibilities: Instrument Technician

- Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplined team to maintain and operate the oilfield in accordance with operational and maintenance procedures.

- Conduct maintenance activities on safety systems, fire & gas systems, flow measurement systems, pressure, temperature, and level control, gas detection, DCS systems, hydraulic and pneumatic control systems.

- Develop and review operational and maintenance procedures to optimise efficiency and safety.

- Utilise Maximo work orders to prioritise and complete scheduled and breakdown maintenance tasks.

- Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to support project activities.

- Adhere to Change Management policies for plant modifications proposals.

- Employ company Observation Safety Techniques to report safe and unsafe acts.

- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements at all times.

Key Requirements: Instrument Technician

- Accredited apprenticeship or HNC equivalent in an engineering discipline.

- Previous experience in the Oil & Gas Industry preferred; related industry experience will be considered.

- Experience with ATEX equipment (Compex Trained) desirable but not essential.

Work Schedule: Instrument Technician

- Rotational pattern of 4 X 10.5 hr shifts (06:45/17:15), alternating start days between Monday and Tuesday.

- Flexibility for overtime during projects and shutdowns as required.
