About the Role

Whether you've recently completed your degree, A-levels (or equivalent), or gained some planning experience in the public or private sector, this role offers an exciting pathway to grow your career. You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive guidance from Directors and Associate Directors, while being given the opportunity to work on diverse and meaningful projects across the south coast.

Key Responsibilities

As a Trainee Planner, you will:

- Understand the needs of a varied client base, including housebuilders, land promoters, local developers, and businesses.

- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry professionals.

- Contribute to projects and complete tasks, under supervision, in a competent and timely manner.

- Prepare written advice and reports of a high standard.

- Conduct due diligence, research, prepare and submit planning applications and appeals, and liaise with officers throughout the process.

- Participate in community engagement events and consultations.

- Take responsibility for managing your time and projects efficiently, working independently within a supportive team environment.

About You

My client is looking for someone who:

- Has excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

- Is IT literate and confident using MS Office and web-based applications.

- Is enthusiastic, solution-oriented, and eager to learn and adapt as the profession evolves.

- Can project manage effectively, meet deadlines, and work proactively.

- Holds a valid driving licence and has access to a car.
