Overview
As a sheet metal worker, you will be responsible for fabricating high quality sheet metal components using a variety of hand tools and machinery.
This position offers guaranteed progression and the training & support an experienced sheet metal worker will need to step into a supervisory role.
Responsibilities
Your responsibilities as a sheet metal worker will include:
- Setting up and operating CNC fabrication machinery such as press brakes and guillotines
- Using hand and power tools to finish components
- Assembly of sheet metal products
- Basic inspection of completed work
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and technical specifications
- Assisting the team with meeting production targets, providing guidance & training to support the teams development.
Background
The successful sheet metal worker will have:
- Previous experience working with producing sheet metal products
- The ability to operate metal work machinery such as press breaks and guillotines.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and diagrams
- Enthusiastic attitude and the desire to progress into a supervisory position.
