GSL Education are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a dedicated and inclusive school in Wareham. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide vital support to students with additional needs, helping them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA), you will collaborate with teachers and support staff to provide a caring and inclusive learning environment tailored to each student's unique needs. Responsibilities of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Deliver personalised one-on-one and small-group support for students with SEN.
  • Assist in implementing customised learning strategies to suit individual needs.
  • Promote a supportive and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
  • Encourage students to build confidence, independence, and essential life skills.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to enhance student development.

Requirements of the SEN Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN (desirable but not essential).
  • A patient and understanding approach to supporting students with additional needs.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • An understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
