NES Fircroft is recruiting a Senior Research Scientist to join a leading agricultural company dedicated to enhancing global food security. This role is based at our client's site in Bracknell on a 24-month contract.
As a Senior Research Scientist, you will be part of the microscopy team within the Bioscience function in Crop Protection. You will conduct research on various projects related to structural studies or phenotyping changes from active ingredients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide proactive scientific and technical support for microscopy requests/tasks by performing studies using fluorescence or electron microscopy.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with microscopy techniques (fluorescence and electron-based).
  • Execute operational priorities as agreed with the Science Leader.
  • Interpret and analyze data, presenting conclusions in detailed reports and presentations.
  • Implement HSE actions to ensure operations meet defined standards.
Qualifications:
  • A BSc or MSc (preferred) or PhD in a relevant field related to microscopy and bioimaging.
  • At least 1-2 years of laboratory-based experience.
  • Proven experience in imaging plant or insect materials using optical and electron microscopy.
