Salary:Up to 48k, DOE

We are looking for a strong leader who can manage and motivate teams, work towards KPIs, and has a solid understanding of quality, compliance, and safety standards. If you have a background in production and transport management and a passion for operational excellence, this role could be for you!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and inspire production teams and drivers to meet production and delivery schedules, quality KPIs, compliance, and safety goals.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage day-to-day operations to ensure orders are produced and dispatched on time and in full (OTIF) while adhering to transport laws and regulations.
  • Maintenance Planning: Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance schedules to ensure the smooth running of production and transport operations.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and assess key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement actions to achieve cost, quality, and safety objectives.
  • Compliance and Safety: Ensure all safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards are met, including transport compliance and driver management.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for enhanced efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Resource Coordination: Coordinate resources to ensure effective coverage for holidays and control the overtime budget.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience: Proven experience in production planning, project management, and team leadership, with at least 3 years managing direct reports.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and managerial abilities with a focus on motivating teams and driving performance.
  • Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of transport laws and compliance would be beneficial, including health and safety regulations.
  • Analytical Skills: Experience with budget management, cost control, and the ability to use various systems for manufacturing and transport compliance.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

  • Work Schedule: Full-time position, Monday to Friday although it is essential to be flexible around the needs of the business
  • Salary: Competitive salary between 43,000 - 48,000 per annum.
