Representing a firm of Chartered Accountants based in the vibrant town of Kettering, we are searching for a talented and experienced individual to come in and hit the ground running with tasks such as accounts preparation, business tax computations, and VAT returns for a portfolio of clients.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30am to 16:30pm

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies with a wide range of turnover in a wide range of sectors.
  • Preparation of business tax computations and corporation tax computations.
  • Liaising with clients to collect information and resolve queries to draft accounts and tax computations.
  • Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts.
  • Ad hoc work as required by clients.
  • Providing training, guidance, and support to members of the team as required.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Relevant practice experience in all aspects of accounting, business taxation, management information and statutory compliance.
  • ACA or ACCA qualified.
  • Experience of owner-managed small to medium-business accounts preparation including statutory financial statements.
  • Be flexible and proactive in managing multiple priorities.
  • Have excellent communication skills and be confident speaking to clients face to face, over the telephone, and by email.
  • Must have excellent IT skills, including working knowledge of Excel.
  • The ability to check work for accuracy and have good attention to detail.
  • Be able to demonstrate your initiative to solve problems.
  • The ability to travel to client's premises as required.
