Aspiring Supply Teacher, Caterham local areas/Surrey

Job Overview:

We are seeking a flexible and reliable Supply Teacher to provide short-term or long-term cover for absent teachers. The ideal candidate will be able to adapt quickly to different classroom environments, maintain discipline, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school's curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lesson Delivery: Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans or create engaging lessons when required.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and structured learning environment.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adjust to different schools, classrooms, and age groups.
  • Student Support: Ensure all students remain on task and engaged in their learning.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with school staff to ensure continuity in student learning.
  • Record Keeping: Provide feedback on student progress and behavior to regular class teachers or school leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a relevant subject.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (preferred).
  • Previous teaching experience is beneficial but not essential.
  • Strong classroom management and adaptability skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to follow lesson plans effectively and engage students.
