- Monday-Friday based in Warrington – free parking and modern serviced offices, just outside of the town centre
- Permanent role, after a 12-week probation
- Salary: £27,000 - £29,000 p/annum - this is negotiable for the right candidate with annual salary reviews.
- Full time office based role, hours approx 8-4/8.30-4.30 with flex around the business/family needs.
- Heavily reduced hours during the school holidays (13 weeks per year) such as half days in summer (paid in full)
- Opportunity to earn monthly bonus, after a probation period - please note this is not a heavily sales driven/target based role.
What does The Education Network do?
Based in Warrington for 15 years, we are a privately owned recruitment education business that is passionate about building relationships and we are extremely proud of the quality service we provide. We supply specialist SEN Teachers, Teaching Assistants and mainly 1-1 Tutors in to a variety of education settings across Cheshire.
We are a friendly, very relaxed team of 4, that have been part of the business 30 years collectively. Essential for the role: -
- A strong knowledge and employment background within education, whether that be within a similar agency or school setting/borough council -this is an essential for this role.
- Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and specialists provisions in a SENCO/SEN/EHCP Co Ordinator/Inclusion role, is very much preferred.
- An understanding of the UK education system. You will have experience in responding to queries from external agencies with understanding.
- Able to pick things up quickly and deal with a high number of communications both by email and phone. The ability to prioritise workload and multitask is crucial.
- Able to balance a wide range of tasks without needing much direction – you need to work off your own ‘steam’ be able to self-motivate and enjoy being busy and keeping yourself busy in the quieter times. We are a business that doesn’t micromanage and as such expect our staff to being naturally hardworking and committed to what they do.
- The ability to produce professionally written emails and take a great deal of pride in your work - every email sent reflects our business.
What does the role involve?
- Candidate resourcing and advertising vacancies on various job boards to attract suitable candidates to our business. A proactive attitude is a must for us and the ability to ‘think outside the box’ whilst offering a friendly and personable service.
- Telephone screening candidates and if suitable, booking in to register, ensuring our screening process is of the highest standard.
- In-depth in person interviewing of new candidates to gauge their suitability to the role and our business.
- Dealing with day-to-day queries from candidates, school contacts, carers, and others about various issuesto ensure the wellbeing of all.
- Managing any safeguarding concerns and addressing the relevant contacts in a friendly and professional manner.
- Keeping abreast of new and revised regulations affecting education and sharing with the team.
- Occasionally visiting our borough councils/schools throughout the term, for reviews of our service and to ensure their needs are being fully met and address any concerns
- Contacting our schools to advise of suitable candidates' availability and to ensure we are providing a consultancy-based service.
- Being involved with the design of punchy/easy on the eye mailshots/profiles for new Tutors/SEN staff and sending out to specific schools to gain interest.
- Assisting with working on our social pages to increase followers and awareness of our business
