Group Financial reporting Accountant - 12-Month FTC (Maternity Cover)Location: Warrington (Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 working from home)Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 We are delighted to partner with a dynamic and forward-thinking company in Warrington as they look to recruit a GroupFinancial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave.This role would be great for a first or second time mover from audit looking to transition into industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant to join a collaborative and fast-paced finance team, taking ownership of key responsibilities and working closely with the Head of Finance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and file annual financial statements for over 20 entities and two consolidated group financial statements, ensuring balances are fully supported and group eliminations handled correctly.
  • Audit Management: Act as the primary contact for external auditors, devising and managing a detailed audit plan.
  • Tax Compliance: Liaise with external tax advisors for the completion of corporation tax computations and capital allowances claims.
  • Stat Accounts Production
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Entity Ownership:
  • Oversee non-operating entities, ensuring monthly group recharges are completed.
  • Manage one operating entity, including producing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Loans and Interest: Take ownership of loans and interest across the group structure.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Build and maintain relationships with auditors, tax advisors, HMRC, and Companies House.
  • Process Improvement: Assist the Head of Finance with systems and process assessments, integration, and compliance with current Accounting Standards and legislation.
  • About You:
    • ACA/ACCA qualified with strong technical accounting knowledge.
    • Be main point of contact for audit
    • Have experience of group consolidations
    • Experienced in preparing financial statements and managing audits.
    • A proactive, organised individual with excellent attention to detail.
    • Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
