Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the planning and budgeting phases of projects, ensuring that all costs are accurately calculated to facilitate effective decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to assess project requirements comprehensively.

Duties

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
  • Analyse blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
  • Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
  • Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and supplier options.
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on estimated costs for management review.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, revisions, and related documentation.

Skills

  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in cost control methodologies and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
  • Familiarity with estimation software and tools is advantageous.
  • Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
