We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the planning and budgeting phases of projects, ensuring that all costs are accurately calculated to facilitate effective decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of cost control and the ability to assess project requirements comprehensively.
Duties
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects, including materials, labour, and overheads.
- Analyse blueprints and technical drawings to determine project specifications and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for accurate estimates.
- Monitor project costs throughout the lifecycle to ensure adherence to budget constraints.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and supplier options.
- Prepare and present detailed reports on estimated costs for management review.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all estimates, revisions, and related documentation.
Skills
- Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency in cost control methodologies and practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
- Familiarity with estimation software and tools is advantageous.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
