Financial Controller (Part Time)
Based: Warrington area
Salary: circa £70k FTE + benefits
I am working with an excellent, family owned SME looking to hire a new Financial Controller to join the business on a part-time basis. Reporting to the Directors, this role will sit as part of the SLT overseeing all aspects of finance for a circa £25m turnover business.
We are looking for an experienced, qualified Financial Controller who is keen to work part-time hours over either 3-4 days.
Role:
- Overseeing a team of 3 (part time and full time transactional staff)
- Preparing monthly management accounts, accruals, prepayments
- Cash flow forecasting, preparing weekly reports for Directors
- Sitting as part of SLT meetings, preparing numbers and pack for board meeting
- Overseeing all aspects of purchase, general and sales ledger/credit control
- Implementing new processes to improve efficiencies in finance and wider business
- VAT returns, overseeing Payroll and assisting with some HR duties
- Supplier payment run, negotiating customer contracts and assessing profitability of projects
- Balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining cash book
- Advising Directors on ideas/plans for future to aid business strategy
Experience:
- ACCA/CIMA/ACA qualified
- Keen to work part-time hours over 3-4 days from Warrington (flex on hours/some hybrid)
- Experienced Financial Controller capable of sitting in a senior role and overseeing whole function
- Experience in an SME business essential
- Strong IT skills – Excel, Accounts system, automation
