Our client is a dynamic and international company based in Birchwood, known for its growth and innovation in a fast-paced market. They are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to take on a mix of management accounting and transactional duties, playing a key role in supporting the company's financial operations and contributing to its global success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Management Accounting:
- Preparation of monthly management accounts, including income statement and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist in financial forecasting and budgeting processes.
- Prepare variance analysis and provide insights to senior management.
- Oversee period-end close and ensure compliance with company financial policies and controls.
- Support month-end and year-end financial reporting and audits.
- Transactional Duties:
- Manage the company's accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit card transactions, and intercompany transactions.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
- Assist with VAT returns and other tax-related matters.
- Foreign Currency Management:
- Assist in managing and reporting on foreign currency transactions, ensuring proper exchange rate handling and accuracy.
- Support with the conversion of financial reports to the appropriate currency.
- Ad-hoc Analysis and Reporting:
- Provide financial analysis and reports to support business decision-making.
- Assist with internal and external audits and financial compliance.
- Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems.
- Ensure that financial data is captured in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Requirements:
- Qualifications:
- Ideally AAT qualified, ACCA, CIMA, or ACA (part-qualified or actively working towards full qualification). Candidates who are part-qualified with relevant experience will also be considered.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to £45,000.00 per year
