Management AccountantJob Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a part qualified/finalist Management Accountant to join our market leading infrastructure client based in Warrington.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role involves providing financial analysis and support to the project delivery team.

Involves ad-hoc expensed travel to Leeds.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing monthly management accounts up to trial balance

  • Business partnering with non-financial senior stakeholders

  • Reviewing job profitability performance with variance and trend analysis

  • Collaborating with commercial and finance teams to set budgets and forecasts

  • Analyzing actuals against budget and reporting variances

  • Developing team profit and loss reporting

  • Assisting with monthly CVR and job accruals

  • Calculating and reviewing work in progress (WIP) and reporting on movements and trends

  • Reviewing job invoicing and costings for completeness and accuracy

  • Reviewing and completing jobs

  • Analyzing working capital day trends and driving improvements

  • Providing proactive input into system processes and improvements

  • Acting as a business partner to the project team

Ideal Candidate:
  • Part qualified CIMA / ACCA / ICAEW studier or minimum 3 years of finance experience

  • Experience with P&L and Balance Sheet reporting

  • Numerically minded with good commercial acumen

  • Experience in construction and/or a services environment is desirable but not essential

  • Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Motivated, enthusiastic team player with a strong eye for detail

  • Able to work towards deadlines

  • Highly computer literate, including Microsoft Office
