My client, a leading global engineering company, are looking to hire a Management Accountant to join their brand new head office in Warrington. This would be the perfect opportunity for an ACA audit-trained accountant looking for a more rounded finance role, or an industry trained accountant looking for a move into a fast-paced and high calibre team.

This Management Accountant role offers an exciting opportunity to join a company with operations in over 100 countries worldwide and a workforce of over 60,000 employees. The successful candidate will be part of a team that values respect, solidarity, courage, humility and conviviality.

What you'll do:

  • Produce timely & accurate production of all management accounts and monthly reporting (local & group) to all agreed formats and timetables.
  • Deliver SG&A overheads reviews with key business partners.
  • Analyse financial data to identify and resolve any issues and explain variances from budget or forecast.
  • Ensure robust financial controls within the financial systems.
  • Identify and make recommendations on system and control improvements.
  • Ensure balance sheet is fully reconciled and reviewed every month end.
  • Build strong internal relationships, support cost centre managers and Finance Business Partners.
  • Drive continuous improvement, document financial processes, lead ad-hoc projects to enhance reporting efficiency.

What you bring:

  • ACA/ACCA/ACMA qualification +1/2 years post qualification experience.
  • Experience managing a small team is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to handle wide variety of complex issues.
  • Excellent people and stakeholder management skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Technical competence, eye for detail, analytical thinking, commercial awareness.
  • Proactive, ambitious and hard-working.
