Management Accountant

We are seeking a Management Accountant to join our global client's finance team on a permanent basis. This role involves overseeing one accounts assistant and offers a fantastic opportunity for either a part-qualified, qualified, or qualified by experience Management Accountant. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this position is crucial for driving financial accuracy and strategic business decisions.

Duties

  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage the annual budgeting process.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and update projections based on actual performance and market conditions.
  • Analyse and manage costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Review and approve expenditure requests in line with budgetary constraints.
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, accounting standards, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and prepare audit schedules and documentation.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of statutory accounts and tax returns.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial accounting software
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
