Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:

Processing invoices for both suppliers and customers, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

Reviewing and reconciling accounts payable and receivable records, addressing any discrepancies in a proactive manner.

Managing the collection of outstanding payments and assisting with any credit control functions as required.

Financial Reporting Support:
-
Assisting with the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.

Preparing and posting journals for accruals, prepayments, and other routine financial transactions.

Helping the finance team to compile key reports for management and ensuring that they are delivered on time.

Bank Reconciliations:

Performing daily and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded and any discrepancies are investigated.

Coordinating with other departments to ensure that payments are aligned with financial records.

Expense Processing and Reporting:

Reviewing and processing employee expense claims, ensuring they comply with company policy

Support for Month-End and Year-End Closing:

Assisting in month-end and year-end closing processes, including posting transactions, reviewing balances, and preparing supporting documentation.

Ensuring that all financial records are up-to-date and complete for audit purposes.

VAT and Tax Compliance:

Assisting with VAT returns, ensuring that all transactions are correctly classified and compliant with tax regulations.

Profile
The successful candidate-
Previous experience in an accounting role (ideally 1-2 years)

Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software

Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines

Excellent communication and organisational skills
