Your new role:As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for managing both accounts payable and receivable, as well as treasury functions.Your main duties will include:
- Manage Accounts Payable:
- Receive, match, and post invoices/credit notes
- Reconcile and agree statements, request missing documents
- Handle enquiries and disputes
- Collate payments for due dates
- Manage trade accounts (e.g., hotel chains and mobile phones)
- Manage Accounts Receivable:
- Issue customer invoices/credit notes
- Issue statements regularly
- Handle enquiries and disputes
- Manage receipt of documentation for non-UK transactions
- Present sales data to the Senior Management Team (SMT)
- Manage credit control with third-party finance providers
- Treasury:
- Record receipts and payments in multi-currency bank accounts
- Reconcile multi-currency bank accounts
- Record and reconcile card accounts
What you'll need to succeed
- AAT Level 2/3 or QBE
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills, including Look-Up and Pivot Tables
- Experience with export transactions and documentation
- Familiarity with a paperless finance office environment
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.
