Assistant Accountant

• Annual Salary: £30k - £35k, depending on experience

We are seeking an Assistant Accountant to join an established, yet growing company based in Warrington. This role is ideal for someone who is AAT qualified or CIMA part qualified, with a strong background in accounting. The position offers a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Manage the Fixed Asset Register, including reconciliation to the general ledger.
• Manage the Capex and Projects for the site, including maintaining a financial budget
• Track onsite maintenance spend and liaise with the Engineering team to ensure alignment with the annual plan.
• Conduct cost variance analysis, comparing budgeted and actual costs.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations & inter-company reconciliations
• Assist with Corporation Tax calculations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• AAT qualified or CIMA part qualified (or similar).
• Strong accounting knowledge/experience.
• Proficient in IT systems including SAP.
• Confidence in working with other departments as well as external parties.
