Senior Accounts Assistant

Warrington/Hybrid

£30,000 - £35,000 + study support

Are you an active studier close to becoming AAT qualified and looking for the next step that will offer you exposure and career development. We're looking for a hands-on finance pro to take charge of key activities in a small but busy finance department. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll also work closely with key stakeholders inside and outside of the business.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong communication skills
  • General Ledger experience (SAGE preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Reconciling bank statements to keep financial records accurate
  • Overseeing invoices and payments, ensuring smooth Accounts Payable & Receivable processes
  • Updating and managing supplier & customer records in the General Ledger
  • Tracking and maintaining fixed assets for accurate financial reporting
  • Handling incoming mail and digital documentation as required
  • Processing and executing regular payment runs
  • Helping with financial close activities at quarter-end and year-end
  • Supporting financial agreements like commercial loans and leases, ensuring precise record-keeping
  • Taking on various finance-related tasks as and when needed
