Are you an Account Manager who wants to work for a Manufacturing/Engineering/ Industrial specialist distribution company based in Golborne?  The company has a high online presence, a large client base and due to growth are expanding their team. You will be responsible for Account Management, expanding sales on new accounts and already established accounts, with some new business development.  There will be extensive training given on company products and procedures to assist you in your role.   This is an 80% office-based role with 20% out on the road travelling to customer sites throughout the UK. Hours Monday to Thursday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm and Friday 9.00 am to 4.00 pm, Salary is £26,000 - £30,000 dependent on experience.  A company car is provided for all travel to client's sites. 

Account Manger Duties:  

  • Manage pipeline of client accounts to maximise sales, revisit lapsed clients and nurture new and existing business. 
  • Follow up on web leads, quotations, processing orders, emailing customers with updates. 
  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. 
  • Maintaining a strong understanding of customer needs
  • Preparing and presenting business and account updates to the company’s management and clients.   
  • Diary management, arranging appointments, keeping the office up to date with diary/ appointments.  
  • Develop a strong product knowledge and keep updated with new products to assist you in the full sales process.      
  • Maintain good working knowledge of systems and continuing updates.    
  • Attending conferences and exhibitions.  
  • Other administrative duties as required with the role. 

Account Manger Requirements: 

  • Required full clean UK driving license. 
  • Ideally having experience in the manufacturing, industrial/Engineering sector would be an advantage however full training will be given.  
  • Must have Account Management experience, ability to develop new business have strong negotiation skills and can work to targets and deadlines.
  • Possess exceptional customer service, relationship building and have a background in promoting company products.   
  • Proficient in Microsoft packages.
