Technical Assessment Engineer

The Role:
Due to expansion in our our sister company TUV Rheinland Industrial Services (TRIS), a brand new role has opened for a Technical Assessment Engineerto work with the Head of NoBo.

The Technical Assessment Engineer will focus on desktop technical evaluations of pressure systems. You will conduct compliance assessments, reviewing technical documentation, and validating designs according to PED, PSSR, and relevant standards.

You will:
  • Review and assess technical documentation, including design drawings, calculations, and material certificates and ensure designs comply with PED, PSSR, and other relevant standards and directives.
  • Conduct fitness-for-service assessments of pressure equipment and systems and liaise with clients, project managers, and surveyors ensuring documentation is complete and meets regulatory standards.
  • Issue technical reports and certificates of conformity based on desktop assessments as well as provide technical support and guidance on regulatory compliance and best practices to both clients and internal teams.
You will have:
  • A Degree (BEng, MEng, or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in pressure systems design, evaluation, or technical assessments.
  • Solid understanding of PED, PSSR, and related UK and EU standards (e.g., EN 13445, ASME VIII).
