Full job description

We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join an exciting business based in Warrington.

This is a new role would suit a dynamic and ambitious candidate with previous experience in Accounts Payable .

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts receivable
  • Credit control.
  • Posting invoices,
  • Reconciling statements and dealing with disputes
  • Accounts payable:
  • Managing and verifying supplier details
  • Matching invoices against purchase orders
  • Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements
  • Preparing monthly supplier payment runs
  • Responding to supplier queries
  • Accounts payable reporting
  • Petty Cash management
  • Processing of daily post
  • Assisting on month-end process
  • Scope for payroll to be added over time. Any prior knowledge of contractor payroll, timesheet management and CIS would be advantageous

Skills/Experience Required:

  • CIS and experience with sub-contractors (desirable)
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an Accounts Payable/Purchase Ledger role processing 200-300 invoices and timesheets weekly (essential)
  • Prior experience in construction or property development (desirable) with experience of dealing with multiple entities (essential)
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other MS Office packages (essential)
  • Experience using Sage 50 or Sage 200 or similar accounting software (essential)
  • Consistently and accurately meet month end deadline requirements (essential)

This role is being offered on a full time temp term of 3 months with both excellent earning potential and development opportunities.
