Reed Talent Solutions are working with United Utilities on the search for a Lab Admin to join them in their Lingley Mere Business Park.

  • Working Hours: Mon-Fri, 9-5

Role Description

  • Responsible for contributing to the administration function for Laboratory Services, ensuring tasks are completed within agreed deadlines.
  • Responsible for raising requisitions to order laboratory supplies and consumables, using the SAP Procurement system.
  • Responsible for operating other computer-based systems including, Microsoft office, specifically, Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of stationery supplies and computer consumables, ensuring that stocks are kept at agreed levels.
  • Responsible for the purchase, storage and distribution of Health & Safety equipment including lab coats, safety glasses and first aid equipment.
  • Acts as a point of contact for visitors and telephone enquiries and ensuring that information relating to these is directed to the correct personnel.
  • Responsible for contributing to team processes/activities and supporting other team members.
  • Supports Health & Safety & Engagement plans and initiatives.
  • Supports teams with service contract schedule for laboratory and sampling equipment.
  • Responsible for having a highly flexible approach to all working practices and responding to the needs of the laboratory to produce a smooth, efficient and cost-effective service.
