We are currently working with a leading provider of electrical and mechanical contracting services, known for our commitment to quality, innovation, and customer satisfaction.As theycontinue to grow, we are now looking for a skilled and motivated Electrical Estimator to join their team and help drive the success of our projects.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to accurately estimate the cost of electrical projects from conception to completion. This individual will be responsible for reviewing project blueprints, specifications, and documents to prepare detailed, precise estimates for materials, labor, and overhead costs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, excellent analytical skills, and experience in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities of the Electrical Estimator:

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates for electrical installations and systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to clarify project requirements and scope of work.
  • Review historical data to ensure accurate labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
  • Prepare detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, timelines, and other relevant information.
  • Perform site visits to assess job conditions and obtain necessary information for estimates.
  • Assist in preparing project budgets and monitoring costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, codes, and regulations to ensure compliance in all estimates and proposals.
  • Provide support during the negotiation process with clients and subcontractors.

Qualifications of the ideal Electrical Estimator:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator(Electrical Engineering, Electrical Construction).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations (NEC, local building codes, etc.).
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, or similar).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other office software.
  • A degree or certification in electrical engineering, construction management, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
