£17.00 - £18.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Driver to join our well-established client based in the Warrington area.

Rates of Pay:

• Basic: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Delivery of palletised goods across the UK.• Day work consists of 2-4 store deliveries per day, on pallets. Loading and unloading done at site.• Night work consists of trunking work.• Performing daily safety checks on the vehicle.• Completing relevant paperwork, such as delivery notes and consignment documents.• Reporting any vehicle defects, maintenance needs, or accidents promptly.

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category C+E Licence• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential

Training 

• Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
• After successful Assessment, there will be a paid induction
