People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Driver to join our well-established client based in the Warrington area.

Rates of Pay:

• Basic: £17.00 - £18.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Delivery of palletised goods across the UK.
• Day work consists of 2-4 store deliveries per day, on pallets. Loading and unloading done at site.
• Night work consists of trunking work.
• Performing daily safety checks on the vehicle.
• Completing relevant paperwork, such as delivery notes and consignment documents.
• Reporting any vehicle defects, maintenance needs, or accidents promptly.

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category C+E Licence
• Have a minimum of 12 months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, but not essential

Training

• Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
• After successful Assessment, there will be a paid induction
