Our client is a well-established family-run business specialising in perforated metal and wire mesh products, with over 60 years of industry experience and are looking for someone enthusiastic and motivated to join their team on a permanent basis.
Reporting to the Site Leader you will increase the turnover and profitability of the branch through the development of both existing and new business. This will involve calling on regular spending accounts, re-contacting and activating dormant accounts and cold calling potential new customers. You must be enthusiastic, ambitious, dynamic, self -motivated, have an appetite to succeed and believe you can help grow their business.
As an External Sales Executive, your duties will be: -
" Develop their customer base with a view to growing their top line.
" Provide technical advice and solutions to customers.
" Preparing quotations and processing orders.
" Account Management- management and growth existing accounts including cross selling all products.
" Managing own workload, working to deadlines and sales targets.
" Working with internal departments to coordinate orders and deliveries.
" Provide solutions for customers from internal and external sources.
" Managing own dairy and spending 75% of time in the office and 25% on the road.
" Attending trade shows in the UK, Ireland and Europe.
The successful External Sales Executive will have the following skills: -
" Must have previous experience in sales/field.
" Experience within a related industry would advantageous.
" Must have UK driving licence and own vehicle.
" Excellent selling and negotiating skills.
" Ability to learn quickly and interpret technical product information.
" Confidently understand and interpret engineering drawings.
" Great communication skills and time management skills.
" Good IT skills.
" Ability to build rapport and build relationships with customers.
Additional Information
" Competitive salary of 36,017.28 per annum.
" Team related bonus of 8,632 paid monthly (719.33).
" Business insurance paid for plus 45p per mile.
" Travel around the UK and Europe.
