Sales Manager - Express Distribution - St Helens

Salary up to C: £45K (Inclusive of Car Allowance) plus excellent Commission

Our client is a major player in the UK Distribution Market with an end to end Logistics offering and a large number of branches across the UK.

Due to their continued expansion, they are looking for a Sales Manager to join their team.

  • Driving growth of the business to new customers
  • Generating new leads and maintaining a healthy pipeline
  • Effectively communicate with potential new customers to drive both continued revenue, profit growth and increased engagement
  • A proven ability to put the customer’s requirements at the heart of what we do, striving to deliver high quality customer service at all times
  • Build and maintain strong and long-lasting relationships with customers and suppliers, quickly addressing their needs and ensuring any issues and challenges are resolved swiftly
  • Communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of organisations
  • Negotiating and finalising contracts with prospective customers
  • Visiting customer/potential customers to promote the company services
  • Coordinating sales efforts with marketing campaigns
  • Understanding and promoting the company strategy
  • Establishing key contacts, relationships and connections across the wider sector
  • Developing a deep understanding of the customers’ business including group and extended opportunities, competitive influences on the business, networking
  • Ensuring potential customers are aware of the latest solutions.
  • Identifying cross-functional service/product opportunities
  • Work with operations and project teams to ensure swift and high quality onboarding of customers
  • Manage multiple commercial processes (budgets, contract renegotiation, KPI measurement), forecasting precisely, and identifying the solutions we can offer resulting in a positive commercial outcome

Preferred skills & experience

  • Proven and successful track record of B2B sales and business development in the logistics industry
  • Demonstrable achievements in a similar role within the logistics market
  • Proven ability of generating new business opportunities within the logistics marketplace through increased engagement and identifying opportunities
  • Strong understanding of working collaboratively across functions to achieve success
  • Experience of working within a fast paced, high growth logistics environment
  • Maintain an entrepreneurial approach
