A Principal Geotechnical Engineer position has come available for an independent multi-disciplinary consultancy to lead the Geotechnical division within the Ground Engineering department in the NW.

As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be working closely with the Director of Ground Engineering but have overall responsibility for delivery of Geotechnical work for design and build across commercial and industrial development infrastructure.

You will be working closely with the internal civil, structural and geo teams, alongside the contractor, to deliver all aspects of geotechnical foundations solutions & temporary work designs and specifications.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to ultimately build and develop a design team.

Principal Geotechnical Engineer specification:

  • Civil Engineering academic background.
  • Chartered or close to chartership with ICE.
  • Around 7-10 years delivering foundation solutions within the UK.
  • Proficient delivering all aspects of geotechnical reporting.
  • Design experience across foundations, temporary works, piles, slopes, retaining walls etc.
  • Management experience as this role inherits a Junior Geotechnical Engineer from day 1.
