Key Roles and Responsibilities

As the Fire Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting thorough fire compartmentation surveys across a variety of building types, including commercial, residential, and industrial.
  • Identifying and assessing fire-stopping issues, breaches in fire barriers, and compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Preparing detailed reports, including recommendations for remediation and ensuring all work meets current fire safety standards.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and project managers to communicate findings and provide expert guidance on fire compartmentation solutions.
  • Ensuring all surveys are completed in line with current fire safety regulations and building codes

Person Specification:

  • Experience in compartmentation surveying is essential for this role.
  • Proven experience in fire compartmentation surveys and knowledge of relevant regulations
  • Familiar with survey recording software like Bolster and Site Audit Pro
  • Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, fire doors, and fire-stopping materials.
  • Ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and handle multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for report writing and client interaction.
  • Full UK driving license (as the role includes a company van).
